Spray Paint is Bae......

I have a strong love for paint in general for it gives you a major change with little investment. The convenience and ease makes my love for spray paint even stronger. For Project Love, I decided that a mirror was needed on the window across from the window to brighten the nursery. Although it had a large double window, the view was of a neighboring brick wall. So this greatly decreased the hours of daylight entering this room.

The color palette for the nursery was pink, grey, and gold with Parisian influences. I was in search of an ornate mirror that would give the room a Parisian feel that inspired the client. It was difficult to find a gold mirror that fit the room and the budget. However, I did find a pink ornate mirror with gold detailing during one of my many random visits to Home Goods. Although it wasn’t gold, it was the perfect scale and price point.

After the client approved of the mirror, I went to my local Home Depot for purchase my favorite gold spray paint: Rustoleum Specialty Metallic Gold. I used blue painter’s tape to protect the mirror before spraying the frame. It was completely covered in one coat. However, I did a second coat to make sure no pink would show. The gold paint brought out the detail in the frame. I absoultely loved how it turned out AND how it worked perfectly in the space. Now what shall I spray paint next…….
